Important Information. Please read. I have always tried to take the time to respond to each and every email inquiry I receive as to "How much is my fan worth" or "When was my fan made", but due to the volume of inquiries I receive each day I no longer have the time to respond the way I would like. Please understand that we get many orders each day for fan parts and custom machining jobs so these are the matters that are addressed first. As time permits I will respond to questions but please be aware that parts orders take priority over questions. I am assembling a FAQ page that will be posted on my web site soon. I will group together a few of the most common questions such as "How do I get the blade off of my Emerson fan" which has a second more important question that comes just afterwards and that is "How do I get my Emerson blade back on without binding up the motor". I will also group a few makes and models together and give you a ball park figure as to what these fans are worth. The question that I am asked the most is "How much is my (Berested, Eskimo, Sterling, Wizard, Zero, or Zip) fan worth", and sorry to say but the short answer is "Not much, maybe $25.00". The answer I usually respond with is that these are all post W.W. II fans or fans that were made to be marketed through dime stores and are not highly collectable today, but hang on to them and they will be worth more in days to come. These fans are the collectibles of tomorrow and definitely worthy of being salvaged, but you won't retire on the sale of them today. If you have a fan or heater that you'd like to offer for sale, please put a price on it. I prefer not to make offers but would rather the seller to name their price and we'll go from there. When I am forced to make an offer, I usually offer around 65% to 70% of current market price. My promise to you, as a potential seller, is that I will not steal your item away for pennies on the dollar. As with collectable cars, guns, coins, or any other item, there are a select few models of electric fans and heaters that are worth hundreds and even thousands of dollars. If you have in your possession a rare fan or heater and notify me that it can be purchased, I will tell you what your item could potentially sell for, but keep in mind that condition and completeness has everything to do with it's value as a collectable. I am a collector and dealer in early electrical and mechanical items and buy and sell fans and heaters on a daily basis so I can not offer you 100% of what your item may actually be worth. Instead I will be willing to pay you a percentage with a small margin for me to make some profit should I decide to sell it later. This is a common practice among highly regarded and reputable dealers/collectors. Please check my web site at for more info and pictures of antique and collectable electric and mechanical fans and heaters. If you'd like to speak with me by telephone I can normally be reached Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM, preferably after 5 PM weekdays at (803) 649-6641. Again, due to the volume of calls I can not return long distance calls. Darryl Hudson
